I live in Northern Illinois and would love opportunities to speak or teach on matters related to Bible prophecy. The video below is the first of four tapings about my latest book, Hereafter - It’s Far Better than You Can Imagine.
I have an MDiv degree from Talbot Theological Seminary and a BA in Biblical Studies from John Brown University. I served six years as the senior pastor of two churches and since then have done both teaching and speaking.
I am also the author the best-selling book, The Triumph of the Redeemed - An Eternal Perspective that Calms Our Fears in Perilous Times, and another book entitled, Cancel This - What Today's Church Can Learn from the Bad Guys of the Bible. Though not listed below, I also enjoy speaking to the many relevant lessons we can learn from characters who made went astray at critical times in their lives.
Below is a broadcast from SkyWatchTV where I introduce the content of my latest book, Hereafter. As for speaking, this will give you a good idea of my passion for defending our “Blessed Hope!”
Here are some topics that I can address in my speaking or teaching.
Our Hereafter
As a teenager, I listened to a singer who was paralyzed from his waist down and confined to a wheelchair. I sat amazed as he joyously spoke of eternity and the day he would walk on streets of gold. At the time I wondered, “How could someone who could not do all the things I loved so much be so full of joy?”
With the writing of Hereafter, it’s clear why the best days lie ahead for us as New Testament saints. I’m eager to share the highlights of what lies ahead for us!!
Twelve Signs that We are Living in the last Days
We are living at a time in history like no other. As we read Jesus’ description of the last days in Matthew 24:4-14, it’s almost as if He had a laptop and was reading from today’s news sites on the Internet.
In this message, I explore a dozen Bible-based reasons for believing that we live in biblical times leading up to the Tribulation and our departure before it starts.
Why did the Thessalonian Beleivers Grive?
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, the Apostle Paul addresses our hope in Jesus’ appearing as a way to soothes the grief of his readers. What caused their sorrow? How does Paul’s answer confirm our belief in the pre-Tribulation Rapture?
And, how do the first century AD marriage customs in Galilee factor into the sadness of the Thessalonian saints?

What was the imminent hope of New Testament saints and does it matter today? Were they wrong to look for Christ’s soon return? What if Jesus had told His disciples this, “Relax guys, it’s going to be a really long time before I return?”
In this message, I look closely at the expectation of believers in the New Testament as well as those in the centuries afterward. The passage of centuries must not quench our anticipation of total wholeness for our bodies, souls, minds, and emotions.
